LADIES DAY
The fourth annual Victoria Square Ladies Day 2012 is set to be a special occasion. For one glamorous afternoon on Friday 14thSeptember, the most stylish shopping destination in Northern Ireland will take over Down Royal and bring some beauty to the balconies of the infamous race course.
Synonymous with style, race day is no exception for Victoria Square; and this year, the fashion is expected to reach new heights! We have been inspired by the Holywood era of old, where ladies were truly glamorous and an afternoon at the races meant donning an outfit that was ultimately special.
Ladies are kindly asked to take note of the following style tips to help find the perfect outfit:
- A hat, headpiece or fascinator should be worn at all times; the more striking, the better - to reflect this glamorous season.
- Dresses and skirts should be of modest length to make a ladylike statement at the race course.
- Jackets or pashminas should be worn; preparing you for any weather eventuality while ensuring that your outfit remains suitably co-ordinated.
- Trouser suits are welcome and make a stylish alternative to the traditional race day attire. This could be the perfect option to catch a Best Dressed Judge’s eye.
- Heels should be high, but manageable – as a day on your feet does not bode well with sky scraping platforms.
- Accessories make a race day outfit special. An embellished clutch bag or statement piece of jewellery will add an instant wow factor.
- Being fashionable is not always stylish at Ladies Day. Think classic and classy for an outfit that will achieve a timeless effect.
